I should be so happy today. I have waited since December 14 (when I broke my last iphone) to get it replaced. I had to wait until today so I didnt have to pay the big price. I had a great time picking it up. I couldnt decide on a case color. The boy associate picked blue, the girl pink. So we flipped a coin. Blue won. But then the girl picked out a white iphone. I am loving it. But yet, I am incredibly sad tonight.

Can you believe there a people in this world who don’t like Elvis? It’s true… I have met em. So those people don’t deserve Pez either.
For todays pic, since I am not going anywhere, and I am not watching the superbowl, I decided to look through my drawers of treasure. This is also known as drawers of junk that I just don’t want to give up, EVER. I came across these. My sister gave them to me. Normally I don’t open collector packages, but I wanted to take this picture. It’s not like I would be trying to sell them anyway. I love them too much.

My first missed picture of the Project 365. I knew the day would come and I was afraid I would be really upset and fustrated and trash the project since I do get upset easy over stuff like this. But it turns out I am ok.
I worked the last two nights of 12.5 hour shifts, and I never did managed to fall asleep in between them. (going to the airport in the middle of the day didn’t help).
And then when I got home on Feb. 6 I hoped to sleep and then go spend time with a friend, but I got blown off (I knew this early in the morning that it was going to happen). I was upset by this, and next thing I knew it was afternoon already, and I couldn’t sleep still. So I forced my brain to turn off with some Seroquel and then it turned out I never woke up till after midnight.
So my son and I went to ihop at that point while I pondered how to rectify the missed picture. We also had some interesting conversations. What hes thinking about for college, he told me about some tribe that just died out as the last remaining member just passed, and that hes thinking about shaving his head as part of a fundraiser for a sick kid.
So anyway, my choice for this years missed 365 pics:
I went to Walgreens after ihop, and got myself some Crayola Color Surge markers and paper. I will make a sign to reflect that I missed a day. and even though its cheating I am modifying the electronic date stamp on the picture to say the date was missed, not taken. That way for future…. who knows what…. I will still have these photos in electronic order.
There are 40 surge papers in this pack i bought, i better not have to use all 40 of them due to missed days! Especially since I already wasted one sheet cuz i wrote the wrong date on it!

So my day consisted of getting off work at 7:30am.
Going home trying to sleep till 11am, never fell asleep
Went to a friends house to pick him up
Drove to O’hare airport to pick up another friend
Got there too early, ate McD’s
Got home, need to sleep but I have to be to work in less then 3 hours. And have to remain at work till 7:30am tomorrow
This is not going to be good

I’ve had another not so great day. Creativity or motivation is not on my side again. So with that in mind, I knew this picture would come up eventually. And sure enough this is the perfect night for it.
I am supposed to be at work right now, but I am on call for 4 hours then I have to go in at 11pm. Which means tonight I get to avoid the question I get at least 3 times a night (cuz I meet knew people every day) where my answer is always the same
“Yes, my name IS treasure”
“yes its real”
“I have no good stories for it”
“My aunt came up with the name”
“No my parents were not hippies”
“No my middle name is just Ann”
” No no nicknames”

Yayy, I made it a whole month of doing 365! I have been in bed pretty much all day. Lot’s going through my brain, trying to sleep, not sleeping, looking up ancestors, looking at other flickr members photostreams, facebooking, on the phone pretty much all day long with friends and a couple of grammas. Then I noticed that light on my wall, coming through one of the glasses on my headboard. So I figured that would be my picture of the day. The notebooks are my journals… well the current one and the previous two.
